Bridge of Malbogon

"a simple bridge to be proud of"

I've never been to the famous bridges in the world. I've never been to London Bridge or the Golden Gate that is famous because of the shared mouth and ears that continuously echoes through the senses of people around the world. The voices continually roam not just because of the beauty that the said places radiate but also because of the people who shouts those voices. Who are the persons who howl the voices? Most probably they are the people who are proud of what they have, because they think that something that they have is beautiful and worth promoting.

Let me do this on my own. I’ve been to the only hanging bridge in Libmanan Camarines Sur which I can say I am proud of. It was made to link a river island named Barangay Malbogon to the mainland of Libmanan. If I am not appreciative, I might think that the bridge was shabby because every step I made, the bridge makes the shrook shriek sound coming from the rusty cables and joints of it. But someone who is crossing in that bridge every day with a motorcycle told me that he even brought three sacks of rice back and forth in that bridge, that statement of him gave me the safe feeling of exploring the bridge more. What I liked in that bridge is the feeling of challenge. I am not the person who is afraid of heights but my stomach suddenly felt beat like heart. It is maybe because I took a look to the deep green river with freshwater crabs swimming. Then I suddenly realize how undisturbed is the environment in that place. While I’m in the bridge I felt the fresh air soothing in my body that I can never smell in the city. I can also compare the color of the river in the city which is as brown as mud and the cool green color that relaxed my eyes only in just seeing it. I can also enjoy the hospitable people in that place that guided me on the way to the bridge.

We should always appreciate the things around that belong to us, even the smallest thing around us that we less notice can also be more worth appreciating. We just need to immerse and see things different more than we see them. In other words let us promote our own land using our creative minds and looking to more beautiful perspective.
